Hi, I'm Angela H. Marshall
I am a woman whose foundation is firmly rooted in faith. My charismatic personality is characterized by strength, outspokenness, and boldness, but above all, my soul's energy is dedicated to helping, uplifting, encouraging, and motivating others to move their lives forward in a positive and productive manner. I find my greatest happiness in assisting others, particularly at the challenging crossroads of collaboration, partnership, and solution-seeking within the realm of public sector problem-solving.

My career has included panelist presentations at national federal conferences, including the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and National Institute of Corrections (NIC), as well as the Middle Atlantic States Correctional Association (MASCA).
Experience
During her 30+ year career, Angela gained extensive expertise in supervision and case management across various sectors, with a primary focus on community corrections, reentry, education, and employment. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at Essex County Community College and as an Academic Counselor for the Rutgers University NJ STEP Program upon its inception, teaching first-year courses at the Edna Mahan Correction Facility for Women. Notably, Angela held the role of State of New Jersey's Coordinator of Women's Reentry for the Division of Parole, leaving a significant impact in the field.
In her previous position as Director of Workforce and Adult Reentry Services at the Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA), Angela established a prominent adult reentry workforce platform serving federal, state, and local criminal justice partners in Metro Atlanta. Her remarkable work led to the Georgia Micro Enterprise Network recognizing the program as the 2017 Reentry Program of the Year. Angela's exceptional leadership and community contributions earned her an award from the U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Georgia in 2017. In her final role at ULGA, she developed innovative strategies and programs to promote economic prosperity for individuals, families, and communities, emphasizing skill development and essential tools for professional and personal growth, all while successfully assisting in guiding ULGA through the onset challenges of COVID-19.
My Story
When I was a girl...
..my father served time in federal prison. That experience changed our family forever. After his release, he found it difficult to get his life back because society presents so many barriers for those who have been impacted by the justice system. That’s why I have made it my mission to be an advocate for those impacted by the justice system by assisting those organizations that have recently started or desire to start a re-entry program.
